12.07.1986, London (Wembley Stadium), England. Probably the most famous Queen concert, they deliver an overall amazing show, playing their classic songs and they got a rowdy crowd on top of it all! The setlist was quite special (Queen played 'Gimme Some Lovin' or 'Big Spender' only scarcely) and there were even rumours about David Bowie's appearance for 'Under Pressure' but that unfortunately didn't happen. Brian May said of the concert, "The Wembley concerts in 1986 were the pinnacle for us. We were at our height band-wise, and Freddie had developed this phenomenal way of dealing with stadium audiences. Being back home in London playing two sell-out nights was such a big, big occasion for us. None of us realized that this would be almost the last time we played together." Scrooge (1970) - Part 01 of 12. This is a delightful musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' novel A Christmas Carol. Cold-souled Ebenezer Scrooge has a change of heart after spirit visitations on Christmas Eve. Folks might not have had much to sing about in England in 1860, but this musical will make you believe otherwise. The songs, sets and costumes are fantastic, the acting is inspired, and the musical scenes are beautifully choreographed. In fact, there is no other Christmas film, which has contributed so many songs to my Christmas repertoire! The fact that this version is an English production also helps considerably in the credibility department - the accents are authentic. Aside from the scene in "hell", this film is admirably true to the spirit and content of Dicken's text, with some inevitable cuts which frankly, I didn't miss. More importantly, I have seen no other version which manages to combine the miserable qualities of Scrooge with the touches of wit and humour which Dickens so skillfully wrote with. Other versions of the film so often succeed at being dour, while failing to capture the joyous aspects of the story, and the humour Scrooge himself sometimes provides. Happily, this version Succeeds at both. This film is an underrated classic family musical. In the spirit and tradition of Oliver! and My Fair Lady, with an energetic memorable score and an eclectic cast all on top form. Sir Alec Guinness, Dame Edith Evans and the wonderful Kenneth Moore support magnificently. Moore in one of the last roles before his untimely death, clearly enjoying hamming it up as the ghost of Christmas present carrying the miserable scrooge along for the ride of his life whilst singing `I like life!' is a joy to see. Renfrew To my friends: As many of you know, in the fall of 2006 an Eskimo/Kalaallit spirit from Greenland began appearing to me and led me on a wild, wild, wild journey. She answered to the name of Aanaa, which means Grandmother, or Elder, in Greenlandic. Since this coincided with my meeting Eskimo shaman Angaangaq, or Uncle, as many of you know him, I assumed it was his mother, and indeed, he asserted that this was so (and continued to do so even in Kangerlussuaq), urging me to follow her instructions no matter how strange they might seem. (I will not at present go into what all this entailed, but some of you, who have accompanied me on the process for over a year, have been able to follow it step by step.) Eventually, Aanaas instructions led me on a journey to Greenland in the physical world in late June of this year. Aanaa told me the icecap melting is Mother Earths water breaking just prior to giving birth to the New World, that the Greenland icecap is the epicenter for this birth process. I was to go there to align with Mother Earths process and bring the Grail energy (the Divine Feminine: the ancestral energy with which I work) to help ease the Great Mothers birth pains in order for us to make the transformation necessary to move up in consciousness rather than be left behind or perish. (I might add that, all along, I asked her, why me? Her answer always was that I would know the answer when I was there.) Aanaa said I would experience the Grail energies there in a way that they did not exist elsewhere, that the Grail tradition that had been lost in the West, had been preserved there for over 10,000 years.
